on the 6th may we headed to the small village of Drumquin, co Tyrone for the killian doherty memorial run. 

in december 2016, our friends Neil and carmel's son Killian tragically lost his life at the young age of 19, and they had put together this event to remember killian and celebrate his life. 

this was a very emotional day for all involved as we laughed, cried and weaved our way around the roads and lanes killian grew up on, passing significant places in his life along the way.

on completion of the marathon, we were very humbled to be presented with a beautiful plaque by neil and carmel, and will never forget that beautiful day in the tyrone sunshine.

a sad end to the month of may for us.   Unfortunately aaron's running chair has broken again, this is the third chair that has broken on us and we are devastated to be off the road and have had to cancel three planned marathons,  newry,  l/derry and EAMS so far.
